SUSTAINABILITY

As the demand for sustainable infrastructure increases, a renewed look at whole-of-life cycle savings and the ongoing cost of corrosion is challenging engineers to look beyond conventional construction materials.NEOBARS(GFRP) composite rebar, is one such material that is eliminating the risk of corrosion, is proving to be a leap forward in extending the asset lifespan of structures. In today’s civil world, sustainability is necessary. It is important to know objective indicators and parameters to facilitate decision-making in order to obtain the most appropriate solution. The life cycle assessment (LCA) is the tool to be used in these kind of analysis as it considers service life of the structure, maintenance, conservation and durability. NEOBAR is making a significant contribution to the life cycle and service life of the structure. NEOBAR production generates 60% to 70% less CO2 than steel rebar. There are some distinct characteristics of NEOBAR that show the impact the product has on the environment.
